I visited this Starbucks with a friend and experienced what felt like blatant discrimination and extremely poor customer service. My friend and I sat at a table briefly (2–3 minutes) before placing an order via the app for a cup of coffee. I arrived to this store around 5:10pm on 1/23/2026 and within 1 minute or seconds while I was setting up my laptop and notebooks on one of the tables, a barista approached me and told me that I needed to purchase something in the store, in order to use the tables. I told her I was going to do so, not because I was told so but because I've been a loyal customer for many years and go to starbucks in NY/NJ area on a daily basis. If you're looking for a quiet place to work or read, this is not your place. Music is extremely loud (and I'm a little deaf)- and the kind of music played is more like a shrill than actual melody. Great service and product selection as usual but if they could just have a more pleasant playlist (and lower the volume two notches), it would be the perfect Starbucks! thank you for your attention to this matter.
