Great atmosphere; I love the vibe here. The low-light setting works well for groups or an intimate date. Service was great as well. As for the sushi: this specific style of preparation isn't to my liking. I didn't enjoy the combination of warm rice and room-temperature fish. I had been to Sugarfish years ago and remembered loving it, so I was excited to come back. Unfortunately, this visit left me pretty disappointed. To be fair, the price point is still solid for omakase and I understand that Sugarfish is meant to be a more accessible experience. If you have the physic of the actress playing Glinda in the last wicked movie this place is perfect for you. Between the absolutely tiny portions and feeling like a pigeon pecking on the rise that falls off the sushi the experience leaves a lot to be desired. The staff though is absolutely lovely, total sweethearts.
