As an OG fan of Sushi Nozawa in studio city years ago, I was psyched to try Sugar Fish. On the way in, someone leaving said welcome to the best food in nyc. Big boast, but they may not be wrong. I got the $46 “trust us” dinner and it was melt in your mouth. Great variety between sashimi, nigiri and hand rolls. It was exceptional and reminded me of the good old days in studio city.
Fish is very high quality, we liked it a lot, service was fast and very kind, the place is simple and has a very nice atmosphere. Prices are very good, especially compared to the high quality and also they don’t accept tips. I certainly wolud recommend it, gonna come back for sure!
My favorite SUGARFISH location as the waiting time is usually way lower than in other locations like SoHo. Just the best and most authentic Japanese sushi, love the no-tipping policy. I'm definitely coming back!
