Sundaes Best is right on 32nd Street near Koreatown, so I walk by it constantly on my commute. On the day of a concert at MSG, my wife and I stopped in after work for something to cool down before the show. We skipped the sundaes and ice cream this time and went straight for the frozen yogurt — got the green grape flavor, and it was really good. One of my major favorite gelato places in the city! For anyone who enjoys a wide variety of Asian flavors there are so many great ones to try. I especially love the Makgeoli and the toasted rice pairs well with everything. You have to at least try some of the more unfamiliar flavors in gelato (ssuk, I'm looking at you) because the milky and slightly sweet textures and flavors of the gelato itself makes it super interesting. Fun flavors! The Makgeoli has an intense alcoholic flavor that may not appeal to everyone but it's done well and doesn't burn. I don't really drink but I still enjoyed the taste. The Korean Plum is super refreshing and paired well as a palate cleanser. The texture is less creamy than I'd like but the Makgeoli was less melty than expected for an alcoholic flavor.
