Spectacular sushi for those folks who appreciate tasty food without taking themselves or food too seriously. In response to some Korean lady giving this place a 1 star for having no Japanese staff and that wait staff was too loud or jokey, lady please….. lol. Does she know how NYC kitchens work? This was the best omakase experience I've had. My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate her birthday. The chef was charismatic, knowledgeable, and welcoming. He explained every dish to us, and you can definitely tell how passionate he is. The whole room had a great vibe as we talked and ate good food together. The waitress was so informative, caring, and hilarious. I would come here again and recommend others go as well!
This is THE BEST omakase spot in NYC. Each roll is incredibly unique and will blow your mind. I’ve tried other omakase places in the city and none of them compare to this one. If you don’t visit Sushi Ishikawa you’ll regret it!!
