That is Suzume! - My bartender Barb (wow!) ... meet her and you will understand. - The drink selection; enticingly different! - The food... The Food! Atmosphere? Its the cozy hidden spot you bring a date to if you want to "set the tone" Thank me later.... but don't go! This is My secret spot.
I wanted to love this place because the setting is very cute but the food is sadly so mid. The pork ramen had zero flavor, I would have been better off with instant. The dry ramen was a bit better, but it bums me out that they charge $1 for a half teaspoon of chilli oil. $100 for two mains and a starter, no drinks - feels like a stupendously bad deal.
Came here for a solo lunch and loved the cute, comfortable atmosphere. Tried the crispy guabao—flavorful with a nice kick, and the texture was just right. The salmon ramen came with bok choy and kelp, which I appreciated since it’s always nice to find a dish that balances protein and veggies, especially when eating solo.
