We had been coming here for over 25 years. We loved their food, especially their cold sesame (peanut butter) noodles, pork dumplings, and their empress chicken. I felt like it was the only place in the USA I could find empress chicken and cold sesame noodles. I would have loved to have given 5 stars. Unfortunately after Covid and their restaurant remodel, the quality has deteriorated significantly. The restaurant space lost its warm, spacious feel and now has a modern, smaller, depressing feel.
Every dish I received was disgusting. Inedible. I had to throw it away. String beans-slimy, overcooked to the point of falling apart, with a horrible gritty texture. General Tso's-mushy, with no taste but sugar, sauce was completely gelatinous. Spare ribs-dry as a bone, totally unseasoned, with a very odd flavor that was slightly acrid. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and it has been my favorite Chinese food the entire time. However, I ordered it on ubereats yesterday (my first time having it in a while as I moved to NJ) and was so sad to see that they changed the fried rice. I’m not a huge fan of vegetables so I always loved that the pork fried rice was just pork, egg and rice. I hope you all consider going back to the original recipe or giving the option to have the rice without the vegetables. Still great food and I’
