Where do I start. Just writing this makes me excited. Taste of Heaven was a google search prospect for Soul Food in the summer of 2024. Since that search I have patronized this establishment 40+ times. The turkey wings are excellent tasty and big enough to make 2 meals. They come in 3 varieties, Jerk, BBQ and Regular. Collards, Sweet Potato and Cornbread are tasty as well. A caveat is that they have amazing memorabilia to create a unique, interesting atmosphere. Experience the food for yourself
Taste of Heaven in Brooklyn is easily a 5 star spot. I had the jerk chicken with mac and cheese and yams, plus a chicken sandwich and cornbread, everything hit perfectly. The jerk chicken was packed with flavor and cooked just right, the mac and cheese was rich and comforting, and the yams had that perfect sweet balance. The chicken sandwich was just as on point, and the cornbread tied it all together. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.
As advertised, this place is definitely a Taste of Heaven! Ordered the jerk chicken, but heard from another customer that the jack daniels sauce was also good, and would love to come back and try that. Another thing that made a great impression on me was when I witnessed a pescatarian customer walked in who didn't realize they didn't typically have fish on the menu, rather than having them leave disappointed, one of the employees ran to a nearby store to buy a salmon filet to accommodate them.
