Probably the best hand roll spot that I have been to. Fantastic vibes and friendly staff. Not a very big restaurant but there are maybe a dozen seats at the sushi bar. Highly recommend the blue crab and spicy scallop hand rolls. The toro scallion is also absolutely delicious. Definitely a spot that you have to stop by if you can. Now for my standard comments. Location is clean and well kept.
I am not even a big sushi fan and this was still probably one of the most delicious meals I've ever had in my life. I savored each and every bite. There was so much flavor in every roll and as a treat I finished with the A5 wagyu roll because I love meat. Absolutely divine.
This was my first time trying a hand roll restaurant in New York, and it was a little disappointing, especially compared to my favorite spot, Chubby Nori, in Philly. The fish was fresh and tasted good, but the hand rolls were smaller than I expected. The best part was that the staff misheard our order and gave us some sake for free, which was a good surprise lol. Overall, it was a decent experience and I’m glad I tried it, but I don’t think it was good enough to make me want to come back.
