Went to my first concert here yesterday (DAISY GRENADE HEADLINER, WOOH!!). Even though I enjoyed the concert as a whole, my friends and I were very disappointed with the lack of venue security. When I've been to see this artist before, we've ALWAYS had venue security, which is especially important when people are moshing and crowd surfing during the show. The artist's tour manager had to come on stage to help out the people who were crowd surfing, which became an unexpected extra task for these
I finally got to see a show at The Bowery Ballroom and it made a big impression. It’s one of those legendary NYC music venues with a real live-music soul — intimate, energetic, and full of passion for what’s happening on stage. A but of a night club bar vibe, but I really like the mood lit atmosphere and it doesn't go too hard and feel like overkill for older folks. There are bars both in the theater room and separate. Band merch tables are a bit randomly placed but it isn't too bad considering the size of the venue. Great views all around!
