Shoutout to Dennis - truly a wonderful bartender and makes the space welcoming. This is a classic example of a neighborhood dive where you’ll meet the most interesting people of Sunnyside. Jar Bar is a Sunnyside staple.
Enjoyed visiting this dive bar, I wish i was here all day every day haha I liked the option of the jukebox to put on my jams but their rock music is pretty solid too, the drinks come in Jar cups lol the jar and shot combo was my favorite
I could not love this place more. You'll meet some of the best people in Sunnyside here, and if you go just a few times they'll remember your name, and entertain you with stories for hours. Reasonably priced drinks, terrific bartenders. A classic NY dive centered around community building in an unpretentious way. Come as you are, as long as you're not out of touch.
