My boyfriend and I were in the neighborhood exploring the city but I was about to freeze. My boyfriend needed a restroom and I needed something warm, so instead of the café next door, we walked into The Parkgate. Their staff welcomed us right away. We sat at the bar, and when we told the bartender we were just looking for something warm, he suggested the hot apple cider. The Parkgate's staff, space, and food were amazing! There are lots of different space options available. We hosted a private event in their downstairs area, which includes a private bar and bartender—perfect for a private party. We also continued our evening outside at the tables along the sidewalk. Busy bar (I’m English this was not a pub sorry!) in west village. Cool Friday night crowd, cocktails looked good, very limited seating. Guinness was $11 a pint … it was a nice Guinness but 2 Guinness and tip was over $25 which feels incredibly steep even as a Londoner!!
