We had dinner here for the first time on a Wednesday night and it was great. The atmosphere is what you would expect in a Tavern or Pub in that it was casual and cozy. We ordered a bunch of apps and 2 different kinds of the roast beef sandwiches and they were all hot and delicious! Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The bar is a neat place for a drink with locals and the dining room was clean and seemed to be recently updated. They also had a larger room in the back, which was not yet open
Our server was friendly, kind and easy to talk with. The restaurant looks great and has three separate sections: the bar area, dining area, and what looks like a dining hall/party room. We ordered the Forest Ave roast beef sandwich and the fried shrimp appetizer with bang bang sauce. The shrimp had a nice crunch, and the bang bang sauce was good, but its flavor was a bit mild and plain; some garnish like chives can definitely elevate this appetizer further! The place is really cool exactly how I imagined a true American pub! 🍺 When I first walked in, the bartender and waitress thought I was picking up a to-go order 😂 but once I told them I was there to eat, the waitress immediately apologized and welcomed me to sit down. The service was just what I was hoping for she was super polite, but also friendly and down-to-earth, which I really liked. The food was amazing too that Portobello sandwich was on another level! This is now officially my favor
