Vanguard on the Upper West Side has become a staple for us since we moved to this area 4 years ago. The interior is so charming, the wine selection is always great (and rotates every season), and the folks who work there are absolute gems! Getting to know Isabel and Jacob behind the bar has been such a joy, and they always give the best recommendations. Don’t sleep on the charcuterie board and other light snacks - they’re all delish!
Vanguard is such a gem in the neighborhood! It has great vibes, music, and (most importantly) the best staff! Isabel, Jacob, Manny, and David are fantastic. We’ve discovered so many new wines, and love bringing friends & family from out of town.
