Excellent wine, friendly staff, great times! The newest location of the Vanguard wine bars found in Manhattan. Like the others, the vibe is fun and relaxed but still knowledgeable about tasty wine. Solid options; high quality. Pro tip: If you can't get a seat at the Upper West Side Vanguard, just walk a few blocks here. The Ansonia is less crowded but deserves an equal following!
Great new spot, an extension of the small franchise with multiple spots across the city. GREAT ambiance, with a nice food menu. Wine list is solid --albeit nothing wildly special -- with enough variety to satisfy any mood or occasion. Nice international range divided into "styles" of red or white. Perfect for a quick sip before a show at the Beacon!
Very friendly gentleman behind the counter greeted me immediately and helped my wife and I find seating. We were very happy with the prices for the bottles and ended up splitting a California Zin with some truffles and the pairing was excellent. Would definitely come back!
