Whole chicken, Korean wings & banh mi sandwiches meet Southern sides at this Pan-Asian takeout.

I love an establishment with window service—harkens back to the good old days of covid to-go drinks. Wangs is an Asian Soul Food restaurant serving up chicken many different ways. I got the lunch special with a chicken slider and cornbread for $13. I was pleasantly surprised that it was the kind of slider that's about 3/4 the size of a regular burger and not 1/4 the size.
The chicken was juicy and tender, and the kimchi was fresh (I usually eat the canned one, so this tasted different). I recommend it — good service and delicious food. The owner was very nice.
I was excited to try the Fried chicken bahn mi, and while tasty, I think it was missing a lil “zing” factor (like a touch of sweetness or the like) that a pork bahn mi would have. The pickled veggies were plentiful albeit with a mild flavor. The pate is a very nice touch though! While I probably wouldn’t get the bahn mi again, I’d say it’s worth a try. I’d describe it as a bahn mi-esque chicken sandwich :) The woman out front was welcoming as well.
