Tried the scallion pancake sandwich, fried chicken, and soy milk at Win Son Bakery and everything was amazing. The scallion pancake was crispy and flavorful, the fried chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the soy milk tasted super fresh. My friend got the burger and loved it too. Really fun spot with a great mix of Taiwanese comfort food and modern NYC bakery vibes.
I was very excited about this cafe but it honestly was not what I was expecting. The menu had a lot of pastries on it that looked yummy but I didn't realize how much dairy there was in everything. The matcha I got was pretty good but definitely could've been stronger. The inside and outside were both very crowded.
wow win son bakery is such a gem, the pastries are unreal and the savory stuff hits just as hard. i grabbed the classic egg and cheese scallion pancake and tied to save some for later but every bite was too good - rich, balanced, and not too heavy (although appears pretty heavy initially) which i really loved. great spot for a quick patio and read stop in the neighborhood, and i’d go for it if you’re anywhere nearby
