Not what we expected. We’ve been to the branch in the Times building and the one downtown. Those restaurants are grand with huge ceilings and are filled with light while the noise easily floats upwards and disappears…this one is nothing like that though the barrel ceilings are nice. The tables are close but not on top of each other at the other branches but the park avenue site seems to have added too many tables and if you have claustrophobia maybe you should avoid. The waiters station was next
Excellent staff and super friendly! The settings are little but too tight and close to the next table. The food is quite nice. The beef is juicy but a little tough for my liking and I already call for medium rare..defly need some salt too. Still a very classic experience and good for a try.
4 stars for food because I’ve had better steak and fish, but the steak was cooked well (not too rare like Quality Bistro likes to do it), and the crème brûlée and accompanying homemade whipped cream were incredible. Their creamed spinach was also delicious, although it certainly leans less creamy than other places. Bread service, however, was not good. Stale bread and small squares of average butter.
