This place is absolutely fantastic! My friend and I came here after doing pottery and had no idea what we were walking into. The menu is short, sweet and to the point, with a little bit of everything for everyone. We opted to share the Marinated Fried Chicken and the Shrimp and Corn Dumplings, while my friend got the Braised Pork Rice Bowl, and I got the Szechuan Braised Beef Noodle. This family ran joint serves the best beef noodle soup and homemade soup dumplings! It’s the perfect spot for a cozy meal, especially during the winter or rain. The noodle soup had a rich, clean broth & the meat was super tender. Some other standout dishes included the shanghai shumai and spicy wontons in chili oil, which I could easily eat multiple portions of. I’ll definitely be back! Located in Fort Greene, this restaurant opened a few months ago after moving their location here from the Bronx! The ambiance is pretty casual and I must say it's pretty chilled out compared to typical Chinese restaurants in the city! The service too is pretty quick whereas the staff is friendly.
