MAA-MAA JAPANESE We spent 10yrs in Tokyo and loved our time there. Dining here at Benemon was disappointing. The Yakiniku Don was super salty. The cocktail was decent. The Karaage is OK. The Sesame Pudding so-so. Overall… average. Which is not what one would expect from a cuisine built from a reputation of “craft”, beauty and taste. And they kept serving me my dessert before I could even have my Main Dish. Not Japanese service. Zannen!!!
Not the best service we had to wave down the server to take our order she was just chatting at the bar then the table thay was sat after us got there food before us app and main before we even got our food. The drinks were good those came out fast and we're delicious. The food was alright not that great for the pricing and portions small.
We had a nice dinner at Benemon while visiting NYC. The food was good. The drinks were good. The place was cute. There are also vegetarian and vegan options here. The service was a bit strange though. We had two different servers. It's unclear why, since it didn't seem to make things any more efficient. The server who took our order offered me a miso soup instead of an arugula salad as part of the "set" upgrade I elected to get with my meal. The idea of miso soup hadn't even crossed my mind up u
