Great matcha! Came on a Saturday late morning, line but it moved fast (unlike 12 matcha). Chocolate matcha was amazing, not too sweet. Fun to watch them make the matcha in front of you. I would recommend this place over 12 matcha because of the faster line. Cookie looked tasty, saw them putting more on display.
MATCHA HOUSE is one of the newest and hottest matcha spot in the east village. the place is not too small. there are long table with 6-8 seats, and a few small tables. i went on a wednesday afternoon and there was no line. on the weekend it should be crowded 🫶🏻 i got 🍵 london fog matcha latte ($8.5), which is your normal matcha latte with earl grey cold foam. the matcha color is perfect. but the cold foam is a bit overwhelming for me, making matcha taste really light. i would go back for a
This place is sooo good!! I usually get an iced matcha cortado (Shizuoka variety) and it has such a wonderful rich, umami, bitter perfect taste. They hand whisk and take their time. There isn’t a ton of seating as it’s a small shop but I can usually find a spot. Highly recommend if you love a deep matcha taste. I’ve also gotten the mango mochi which is perfection as well. It feels like they can do no wrong.
