My wife and daughter and I were at the Bronx Zoo when I craved a Cuban sandwich. I searched for Cuban sandwiches and found this restaurant, which was just a 10-minute drive away. I’m so glad I discovered this place. The sandwich was delicious, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her chicken sandwich as well.
Disgraceful phone service. Keeping customers on hold after answering a call then not responding on multiple occasions. When calling back, no greeting or proper salutation, just straight to on hold music. Lack of respect and customer service is the modern way of doing things in this neighborhood. Training these types of uneducated and uncaring employees is a lost cause. Find other restaurants in the area.
I can only say the food is not the best for me. Only saying that because I find the food to have less taste than other restaurants. The service is outstanding. We normally come after work once a week for about a month. Nice portions. The back room is nice. Spacious. We ate again. Same thing. Food was ok. I will say the churasco steak was really. Tostones where awesome. The maduros were hard and cold. I had beef stew(carne guisado) was good too.
