Took a flyer and picked this place because it had good reviews, served steak, and wasn't a fancy schmancy place; basically, all my criteria. From the moment I walked in, I felt like family. Seriously. Everyone had worked there for years and years, and I think at some point I met each and every one of them. The owner came by to check in, but it wasn't intrusive at all... more like your Pops swinging by your table to see if ya need anything. I went solely for the beef, and got the grilled blood
This has quickly become my favourite restaurant in NYC! They take such good care of their guests and the steak is always cooked to perfection. You really can’t go wrong with the menu or wine list. 10/10. Must go!!!
I visited last Friday for a company celebration lunch. We had the entire back room, which felt like a private oasis. The service was absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere was "victorious" (think Argentina)—you’ll understand exactly what I mean once you visit. Because we were a large group, the food took a bit longer than expected, and my steak had cooled down by the time it arrived.
