Stumbled by this cozy coffee shop as I was walking around and stopped in as I saw it had great reviews. Cosmic Cat is a small warm cafe with minimal seating and very eclectic vibe inside with its decor. There was one barista making drinks who was super friendly. I ordered just a cappuccino to try their espresso beans. My drink was good, the milk to coffee ratio felt balanced and went down smoothly. This is my favorite coffee shop on the Lower East Side. The coffee is great & the real hidden gem is the hot chocolate, have not found such a good hot chocolate at any other coffee shop that was not an exclusive chocolate shop. The people are so warm and friendly, Sonam really has built a beautiful community on the LES that is so rare to find in coffee shops in Manhattan. Not a huge space but I always seem to find a place to sit and be cozy.
