We visited Curry Flavor twice during our stay, and both experiences were excellent. The food was outstanding on both occasions. Our first visit was for dinner, and considering the authentic quality of the dishes, the prices were surprisingly reasonable for New York. Tremendous value for very well-prepared Indian food in an A-rated East Village hideaway. The Mulligatawny soup was complex and interesting in both flavors and textures. The garlic naan was toasted but not singed, and the chickpeas in spinach sauce was rich, spicy, and clearly made with fresh spinach. Happy surprise! Place we were intending to go was closed. What an incredibly lucky accident! The food is incredible. The best garlic naan I've ever had. You have to try the fried okra. Damn good curries, too. Will come back and back and back.
