Got a drip coffee to-go on a Tuesday morning, my barista was pleasant, the coffee just isn’t good. This is my second or third time trying Elsewhere and it’s so cute on the inside but the drip coffee at my bodega is better and $1 cheaper… previously I’ve tried a hot latte and an iced latte and I’m not sure what they’re doing wrong but I haven’t had anything drinkable here. If you want a cute interior and diner coffee, this place is for you. But if you are more selective… it’s a skip.
Listen… I’ve had my fair share of off days with baristas, but this was wild. I walked up, said a simple “good morning how’s it going?,” and the girl at the counter just stared at me like I interrupted her paid break. Hits me with a flat “what would you like…” No warmth, no nothing. I mention it’s my first time here, and she hits me with an “ok” and an eye roll and then walks away??? Lmaooo. Alright then. I ordered a matcha with a shot of espresso praying the drink would at least redeem the mome
I’m going to give “elsewhere” five stars because of the friendliness of their staff AND because they serve an amazing cappuccino. The coffee was so so, but I think they were having problems with the grinder. Again, in my book they’re getting five stars because the service was amazing.
