Celebrated my birthday there and it didn’t disappoint! Though making reservation was a bit old fashioned- you gotta call and leave a message, then wait for Tina to call you back to confirm- it was well worth the effort! This is a charming French restaurant in Manhattan. It was extra special because we were there around Christmas time and the owners opened the restaurant up for a couple of extra days around the holidays. They only take reservations over the phone and there are very few tables. The service was extraordinary, and I believe this was driven by both owner philosophy and the small number of tables versus wait staff. A gem of a place and a go to for our anniversary celebrations. Tina and her staff created something incredible; a place that feels incredibly welcoming and homely. It goes without saying the food is incredible. The venison was the best I ever had! The artichoke ravioli with prosciutto was phenomenal! The wine pairing are thoughtful and plentiful. And the desserts are unique and splendid - the coconut cake deserves its reputation and the mirangue is just as good.
