History is literally palpable! After soaking in the weight of history … the pathetic and ambiance is intoxicating- the service was really, really good. The menus - the actual physical menus added depth and gravity to the history in the restaurant. The food was spectacular. The oysters were small but very flavorful. There are multiple rooms for different purposes so it’s nice to hop around before and after dinner. Downstairs feels more like an old timey pub whereas the piano room upstairs more a lounge with live music. It’s actually pretty easy to walk in on weekend evenings so reservations aren’t really necessary.
