I have been dreaming of Gnocchi on 9th since I first heard about them about a year ago because of alllll that viral bizzzz. Well, WHY NOT? I LOVE gnocchi and I love cheese.... What could possibly go wrong? I stumbled upon their setup at Bryant Park Winter Village and may or may not have gasped with joy. Unexpected happy surprises are the best! I ordered the recommended serving with vodka sauce and burrata on top. Y.U.M. I put my heart into an attempt at finishing that gigantic portion. So good!
If you're a gnocchi fan, this place is a must have. They have a simple menu - several variations of gnocchi cooked on request, a classic Caesar salad and dessert. Doesn't get much simpler! The gnocchi was cooked perfectly and I hope to go back and try all the choices. You cannot beat the price either. There isn't really a dining area - a couple of bistro tables out on the sidewalk, but that didn't take away from anything!
The gnocchi is incredibly soft, pillowy, and clearly made fresh. The sauces are rich without being overwhelming, and every bite tastes thoughtfully prepared. You can really tell they care about quality ingredients and flavor balance. The service was just as impressive, attentive, friendly, and welcoming without being overbearing. It made the whole experience feel comfortable and special at the same time. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.
