We stopped by on a Wednesday evening before heading to dinner, to grab some cocktails. They were busy, but not packed so we were able to get a table and sit for around an hour. We ordered one round of cocktails. I had the pretty in pink, which was sweet. Pretty good, sugary taste, not too alcohol forward which is what my wife was looking for (we shared). Quite pricey but seems to be expected in Manhattan. The bar had a really nice vibe, not too loud, but lively. Nice lighting and clean.
The Happy Hour Oyster special: 12/$18 was fantastic! The oysters were well shucked, cold, fresh and came with a classic mignonette and a cocktail sauce with a little twist to it. The shrimp cocktail were big, beautifully cooked, tasty shrimp- not over cooked, just right. The whipped codfish brandade dip with pumpernickel toast was awesome!
