did NOT disappoint. the restaurant is unassuming but everything packed a punch. no need to get the garlic rice. get the hot calamansi juice, laing, and lechon. sisig was pretty good too. we got the pancit palabok as well though it was overpowered by the flavors of the other dishes. it actually tasted better as leftovers! it's not as affordable as i expected it to be. to be fair, we did have leftovers. there was also a bit of a wait before our entree arrived. it seems like it's a small staff han
It looks like a new owner and chef. We were not disappointed. I ordered Sinigang na baboy (pork). The meat even the skin was tender and it melts in your mouth. The portion is enough to satisfy your craving. We also had the Lechon Kawali, half an inch cut portion unlike the cubes cut portion from long time ago. Crispy tasty as well. The tapa , I'm not a fan but he egg on the garlic rice was nostalgic from back home. Overall, I would recommend to dine-in.
The prices were decent for what you get. We ordered lumpiang shanghai (ground pork spring rolls), daing na bangus (fried fish) with garlic rice, pancit bihon (thin rice noodles with shrimp), halo halo special with ube ice cream, and leche flan. These are our go-to dishes when we have Filipino food. The two desserts were excellent: halo halo had a lot of tasty toppings, and flan was thick and creamy.
