The bouncer “TJ” had the biggest power trip on him. It was a Friday night he let all my friends in and because i was in my HEELS I stepped on the ledge and stumbled a bit. Mind you I am completely fine and he immediately claims on she’s hammered she needs to go home that CHINESE girl can’t come in. But let all my other white friends go in. 1) so blantantly racist it was crazy 2) it was dead inside my friends left in 10 minutes and he’s acting like he’s VIP bouncer to the hottest club in NYC. Ple
Long time east village dive bar. This was Anthony bourdain’s favorite bar for a midweek beer I believe. Anyway come by. Order a beer. Chill. And just mingle with the locals. Rock on!
Do not go to this bar. I feel sad to say this and I am usually very understanding of waitstaff/bartenders but this was truly the worst service experience I’ve ever had. Meanest staff I’ve ever encountered. I am sure it is stressful and chaotic to work at a crowded bar but my friends and I were met with a shocking amount of hostility and contempt by the bartender.
