Disappointing sushi place. Went here for Valentine's Day, and got seated promptly. Ordered a sushi sashimi platter for 2; one of their pricier options. The platter included a "chef chosen sushi roll". Very disappointingly, it was a Calif
Walked in here on a Sunday afternoon for dinner and was seated right away. The sushi was overall pretty good. We got the sushi special and sashimi special. It is kind of on the pricey side but overall the price isn't too bad given the quality of fish. One thing that takes away one star from atmosphere is that it was quite warm inside the restaurant and the temperature outside was 90s at the time.
Kanoyama is an absolute gem in NYC! The sushi is incredibly fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. The omakase experience was top-notch, with each piece of sushi carefully crafted and presented beautifully. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. If you’re a sushi lover, this place is a must-visit! Can’t wait to come back again.
