Went to KazuNori: The Original Hand Roll Bar and I’m not gonna lie… these hand rolls were legit. The whole setup is basically sushi for grown men with no patience. You sit at the bar, the chef starts building hand rolls right in front of you, and somehow serves the entire counter at the same time without panicking once. Mixed feelings here. I guess you get what you pay for. Nothing is "special" at KazuNori. You get 6 handrolls for $36. Each roll is quite big surprisingly fills you up to a certain degree. The seafood inside is decently fresh but the technique they use to not get judged is they mince everything so that it "fits" the roll. Well, minced raw fish also is tough to tell on the freshness scale, nor does it have to be thick cut. Plus the minced fish is heavily seaoned - not bad, just not traditional. Y
Was I impressed? No, not really. Was I dissatisfied? Nope. The food was decent. I was happy that I tried it. The food is served via bar setting. The chef will assemble your handroll in front of you and service multiple people at the same time. I thought that the rice they used was of decent quality.
