Onigiris at NY prices, but onigiris done right. The rice is slightly sticky, chewy, plump, firm, tender, and nicely seasoned, making these onigiris much, much more enjoyable than the pre-made hard, crumbly and bland onigiris found in grocery stores. The atmosphere added to the positive experience. It sent me right back to Japan, to a quiet neighborhood’s cornerstone hole-in-the-wall, where two polite, friendly ladies make all their items behind the counter and add cute touches like a nori face o
Got the spicy chicken onigiri and it was great! Staff were excellent and so kind, we were offered free cookies. Great place to stop by for a quick snack! Highly recommend!
Really cozy, take out only Onigiri shop, with two Japanese Okasan making really authentic onigiri. Don’t need to second doubt it, just go grab one and you will be surprised how good they are. Me and my wife have been waiting for this exact type of onigiri store since we have moved to NYC. Btw, if you saw just a display card without onigiri on the tray, let them know and they will make it for you.
