Thin crust with flavorful topping and plenty of pepperoni slices on the pizza slice at Lucia Pizza. It had opened sometime ago. I passed it many times but didn't go in. Finally on Monday on my way home I decided to get a slice with a garlic knot. The pizza slice is put in another oven (convection?) and fresh basil leaves are added and cheese is grated on top. I live in Tokyo but often I dream about eating New York pizza again. On my trip back to visit, this is the only spot I went, and everything I wanted, they delivered. That sexy, thin undercrust with a delicate crunch. The perfect dance of tang and depth in the sauce. Got 3 slices and each were amazing. But man, their vodka sauce pizza was a BANGER, I’d eat a box of that on my own any day.
Stopped in initially from the nice entrance, left eating two really good pizzas. The regular slice had the perfect crisp and its cheese had a sweeter creamier taste. The vodka grandma also had a delicious different cheese tasting similar in profile, but a softer undercarriage. Would definitely return to Lucia locations in the future.
