Ordered a 20 oz Pistachio Cold Brew from the 299 Broadway location. I’ve had Matto many times before, but this was by far the most diluted drink I’ve ever received from them. The coffee flavor was barely noticeable, and the pistachio flavor was almost nonexistent. It tasted more like lightly flavored ice water than a cold brew. I ended up throwing it away and buying another drink elsewhere. Not sure if there was a mistake with the preparation, but this was a very disappointing experience.
Always had a great experience at this location — the staff is consistently warm and welcoming, and their customer service is excellent. The drinks are solid for the price. One thing to note, their “ceremonial” matcha latte is not ceremonial grade matcha. The color and flavor are closer to cheap matcha powder - the one item I wouldn’t recommend getting. Otherwise, it’s a good spot for a cheap and quick breakfast!
The service is the best the servers provided excellent service. Of course, Yana and Ebony are always there to greet me every morning, bringing warmth and joy to my day , and to my belly, of course.
