An intimate high quality sushi establishment that features wonderful omakase made right in front of you, naturally. Chefs seem relaxed and very friendly and that’s prompted me to call this one of the most chill Omakase restaurants I’ve experienced. So for that reason when I think of overall quality I’m prompted to give it extra points for that alone. It felt easy to chat with my companions here, and not feel like I was intruding on some quiet sacred ritual - as I’ve felt in other high end Omakas
I was a walk in on a slow rainy day and the chef and server were so attentive and thoughtful. Taking their time to explain each fish and showing photos of the whole fish as the nigiri was served. I really appreciated the level of detail and friendliness. Service did not feel slow despite the care they took with each piece of fish. The fish was excellent and fresh. I tried cuts of fish I’ve never had as a sushi lover. Hands down will return with my friends next time.
I brought my boyfriend to Mido for his birthday dinner. Truthfully, I was a bit surprised at how quiet it was given it's rating, but that allowed for us to have incredibly attentive service. I thought showing the photos of the type of fish was very interesting and a nice touch. We splurged on the $150 omakase experience and overall it was "good".
