Diner at Monte's Trattoria. We stopped by for an early dinner before take our fly to return home. It started out very quiet but quickly became packed with people. The food and drinks are excellent. We tried the beef ravoilis with bolognese sauce, calamary friti, Chicken Parmigian and for dessert we got the italian classic "Tiramisu" the star of the whole diner. Staff was amazing, our waiter Carlos make our diner great. Very traditional NYC restaurant, excelent to shared with friends or family. H
Really old school below street level setting with nice charm. I ordered classic spaghetti with meatballs. They started out bringing bread and olive oil which I love. The spaghetti was average and portion was on the smaller side. I found the sauce to be a bit too sweet for my palate and I Like my pasta al dente which this wasn't but I Enjoyed my meal and had a great experience. Staff was friendly and accommodating
Monte’s Trattoria is a true gem that has been in Greenwich Village for many years. The restaurant has a classic, cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re dining at a traditional Italian spot. The pasta was delicious and cooked perfectly. The tiramisu cake was the highlight of the meal. It was so good, creamy, and easily one of the best tiramisus I’ve had. If you’re in Greenwich Village and craving authentic Italian food, this place is definitely worth visiting. One of my favorite.
