I was doing some shopping in the area and stopped by to grab a few croissants for the road. 🛍️🥐 The experience was quick and convenient, the staff was kind and welcoming 😊, and the bakery has a really nice atmosphere. Most importantly, the croissants were amazing—fresh, flaky, buttery, and absolutely delicious! 🤤✨ A perfect spot for a quick pastry and coffee break while exploring the neighborhood. ☕🥐 I’ll definitely stop by again next time I’m in the area! 👍😊🌟
Ole & Steen is a Danish bakery cafe chain with 140+ outlets in Denmark, the UK and NYC. I had breakfast there with friends at their Union Square location. They have lots of delicious looking traditional pastries and cakes but I wanted something truly Danish so I had a Kloben bun made with cardamom, raisins and almonds. They also offer sandwiches made with their amazing looking breads. And as a bonus, European-style hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows!
Love that nyc is the only place in the US that this franchise expanded to! They specialize in Danish pastries, but also offer other traditional ones you'd find in other cafes, like croissants and cookies. What l've had: - Latte w/ Oat Milk: Solid bev with a good roast - Chicken BLT Toastie: Nice smoky bacon flavor - Smoked Salmon Sandwich: The cucumbers added a refreshing taste Deducting a star only bc | feel like their pastries can be a bit sweet for my liking and I also wish their sandwiches
