Cute, compact Japanese spot is perfect for grabbing a light bite or snacks. I came in to get a late morning snack to bring to the park. The store is bright and spotless, and the service was very welcoming. I kept things simple and grabbed a pork onigiri, as well as a salmon onigiri. They were very tasty, and perfectly made—soft yet sticky, and not the least bit dry. IMO the ratio of rice to filling was perfect. One of the better onigiri I’ve found in the city, if not my current favorite 👏🏻
Visited this place today for the first time and thought it was so aesthetic! The food was delicious, and the entire space is super clean. (I was a bit confused by Adeline’s post below mine, as the onigiri and hand rolls are stored in a display case, completely covered and individually wrapped.) I tried the spicy tuna mayo, chashu roasted pork, and the Ikura and grilled salmon. All of them were incredibly delicious! - April 12th 2026
((4.25 stars)) stopped by here on a whim before stopping at the Union Square Greenmarket. the small shop is a cozy clean well-organized space that sells freshly-made onigiri, norimaki (hand rolls), and a small variety of Japanese snacks, beverages, and pantry items. the available onigiri and norimaki is on display at the counter. just tell the cashier what you want, pay, and either stay and eat at one of the tables inside the small shop or take it to go. there is no such thing as a perfect foo
