My husband and two adult daughters were here right before Xmas 2025. We loved it! The food, their service and atmosphere were great. I love the chicken pot pie, my husband got chicken Parmesan I believe. Really good. I just read a review of a woman that gave the food two stars. I completely disagree. Haven’t been here in 15 years. Food was good. Not outstanding, but good. I wouldn’t go back for the food alone. Perhaps we ordered the wrong things. Drinks were good. Staff was very attentive and prompt. Mozzarella en carozza was very good.
I had dinner at Pete’s Tavern, the oldest continuously operating restaurant and bar, which opened in 1864 in Gramercy Park. Pete’s survived Prohibition as a disguised flower shop! It is also where O. Henry wrote "The Gift of the Magi" in 1903. For dinner, we were able to reserve the actual booth where he wrote the book! We both started with tuna tartare. I had the Scottish salmon and she had the veal goulash. The food was delicious and our server, Veronica was great!
