Had a phenomenal meal at Shmoné last night. I normally don’t like sitting on tall bar seats (as they’re almost always uncomfortable) but we were seated at the chef’s counter, the seats were surprisingly comfy and it was great fun watching the chefs in action. One of the best and most surprisingly meals I’ve had in a long time. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made great recommendations, suggesting dishes I normally would never pick. Particularly the sweet cherry salad - marinated in garl
Jerusalem bagel was good, and so was the pasta. The 76 layers wagyu steak skewer was mediocre and didn’t taste that good. The beef short ribs was heavy and good and so was the chocolate tart. Overall an ok experience but it was pretty pricy. Definitely skip the cabbage though, it tasted like nothing.
A truly incredible meal with excellent service. Open kitchen where the chefs are cooking every dish to order. Hyper seasonal menu driven by the best ingredients available! Perfectly seasoned and well balanced dishes.
