Stopped by for dinner while in the NYU area and it feels like the kind of place that just fits the neighborhood. Very casual setup, nothing fancy. A lot of students coming through, people eating solo or in small groups — pretty easy spot to drop into without thinking too much. Food is more on the home-style side. Love the food here! The soup of the steamed pot chicken is delicious. We ordered the little pot rice noodle and the ham potato stewed rice: mixing the soup of the little pot dish with the rice is amazing. Encourage trying! Yeah most of the food are gone in the picture, saying most about how we like the food!
South of Cloud has become my comfort spot for a warm, delicious meal. Their signature Crossing the Bridge Rice Noodles are a complete experience - the rich broth, fresh ingredients, and assembly process make it both fun and incredibly tasty. The Steam Pot Chicken is another must-order; the soup is clear, flavorful, and feels nourishing. We balanced it with their simple but perfectly cooked tofu and greens.
