I come here all the time and honestly love the place Today while i was waiting for my macchiato the gentlemen making the drinks behind the espresso machine kept pick up his phone , doing something / swipping on it THEN he would brush the excessive grounds from the portafilter… That’s gross!!! Your phone has about a billion germs on it, especially the glass you are swiping then you are using your hand to even out the portafilter.. That has to be a health violation!! I used to manage a local coffee shop in Austin, TX that roasts its own beans, and I’ve been to at least a dozen coffee shops in NYC. Trust me when I say, this specific cafe made two of the best cappuccinos I’ve had in years - two mornings in a row, two different baristas. And a cap is the most difficult to get just right (many end up making a foamy latte, wut??) - so to quote a viral content creator, “9 out of 5 starrrsss.”
