Amazing! Super tasty, fresh and very creative sushi!! What a great surprise! We were walking by and saw the advertisement for Omikase and thought we’d give it a try. I am so happy we did. We loved the food - I can’t compliment enough!! The service was very friendly, helpful, and fast. The Omikase was amazingly delicious and a great deal. The oysters were the best I’ve had in Manhattan! There were lots of special dishes - we want to try more - and we’ll definitely go back!!
This was my first time at Sushi by M. Overall, it wasn’t bad. For $100, I think the ingredients were quite good— including caviar, salmon roe, otoro, bluefin tuna, uni, foie gras, and wagyu beef. My favorite dish was the ebi shrimp — it tasted great and had a really nice smoky aroma. The quality of the fish was good overall. However, I wasn’t very impressed with the rice. Great omakase spot. Chef Kenny was very friendly. I think the $100 one is more worth it with the creamy uni, chuutoro, the appetizers, upgraded versions of the handroll and wagyu uni, etc. Favorite ones in order: 1. Toro sturgeon Caviar (idr why it was my fave but it was amazing.) 2. Wagyu Uni Foie gra (Heavy but the perfect pair of creamy fatty.) 3. Striped Jack Monk Fish (The flavor!) 4. Scallop (always a fave) 5. Uni (super sweet and creamy) 6. Amberjack (The yuzu kosho)
