A pretty cool little pub-restaurant-hang-out spot in Red Hook, not far from the Louis Valentino, Jr. Park. It’s a large place, with a bar, indoor dining room, back outdoor dining area, and side dining area with a stage for performances. I came out on a Sunday while visiting friends in Brooklyn. The bands The Thing and Figure of Fun played, and there was a children’s craft area, and families hanging out. Good times! Had some Miller High Life and a chicken Caesar salad that really hit the spot.
It’s cute and laid back. Great staff. Ordered the Korean cheesesteak. Good concept. Good flavor. Light on meat and heavy on bread/kimchi. Underwhelming for a $20 sandwich only item. Fries were quality. Next time will order their famous smash burger. That looked satisfying.
The food was affordable, flavorful, and the service was friendly. The drinks were $12-$14 which is almost unheard of in nyc. We got the pub cheese, chicory salad, curry fries, Brussels sprouts, and chicken karaage. Unfortunately I have to knock off a star for an ingredient in the Brussels sprouts that was not listed on the menu.
