My best friend I visited The Smith for the first time yesterday and what a wonderful experience!! The restaurant is spacious, lovely, and CLEAN! Although it was fairly busy, we were seated immediately. The star of the show was our server CJ!! He was so kind and answered all the drinks + menu related questions we had. Excellent little gem in the east village. I got the Mac n cheese and my son got the Smith burger with fries. Both really tasty. We had 4:45pm reservations and we seated immediately. It was not crowded and was a nice ambient atmosphere. We will definitely be back next time in that are of NYC! Update February 2026 Went back again with my sisters. Food was just as amazing and the service was great. We had a reservation and were seated immediately.
Truffle gnocchi was out of this world but very little amount. Legit needed to order 2 to have a normal size meal for a grown man. Lacked sufficient sauce but ordered more and after 10 minutes got it. I added chicken milanese to it but still wasnt enough. Truffle fries also top notch. Order the cookie or 9 layer cake for dessert.
