  After reading a bunch of reviews about how the staff was so welcoming and nice I was thoroughly disappointed when checking in for my stay-cation with my fiance. The woman checking us in was so rude! She was very short and honestly seemed mad that we booked with a capital one points? She didn’t tell us about anything in the hotel or offerings we had.   We spent our (delayed) honeymoon at The Standard East Village and couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The hotel is cool, stylish, and has a great vibe, but what really sets it apart is the team.   MINUS ⭐ 1 Star The staff at The Standard were friendly, polite, and genuinely courteous. Unfortunately, great customer service alone cannot overcome poor food quality and poor execution. When you’re paying premium prices for a room, you expect a breakfast experience that reflects that investment.
