Village East by Angelika is a wonderful theater for all sorts of films in a variety of formats. Their 70mm screenings are fantastic and the audio quality/acoustics are top notch. The seats are comfortable too! As of this posting, they do not accept any form of tap-to-pay. Tickets can be bought on Fandango but I’d rather go directly through the Angelika to better support their business. You’ll have a great time if you choose this theater for your cinematic adventures!
I really want to love this theater, but on multiple times coming here it seems like the keystoning on the projector in the big room is off. The screen was trapezoid shaped instead of a normal rectangle. Is this something that can be fixed?
DO NOT come to this movie theater! On Monday evening, we were sexually harassed by two white guys in this movie theater, one of them deliberately changed their seat to sit next to us, one of them tried to ask about our personal information, we ignored him, he didn’t take that as a sign of rejection and proceeded to make racially motivated sexual jokes repeatedly towards us at a loud volume to make sure we can hear him. They were ruining the movie for everyone else, these white guys kept talking
